OREANDA-NEWS  On 08 December was announced, that the Moscow officials are to allocate approximately USD 13.5 billion from the city budget for developing the metro rail network, Yury Roslyak, first deputy Mayor of Moscow told.

“Moscow is to allocate 370-380 billion roubles (~USD 13.5 billion) from the city budget in 6 years to come. We plan to receive the same sum from the federal budget. If we get such support, it will be possible to launch a development of the third transfer hub in the metro,” the official said.

According to Mr Roslyak, there are two transfer circuits in the Moscow Metro – the city centre and the loop line.

“The third transfer circuit will be the second loop line. If we have built it, it will be unnecessary to go from one end of the city to another through the centre. It will make the loop line less busy,” the first deputy mayor of Moscow noted.

Mr Roslyak added that it was suggested to allocate roughly USD 1.5 billion in 2009 for developing the Moscow Metro.

In particular, it is planned to open Dostoevskaya and Maryina Roshcha stations on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line, Myakinino and Volokolamskaya stations on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line and Tekhnopark station on the Zamoskvoretskaya line next year.
