OREANDA-NEWS  On 10 December was announced, that JSC BTA Bank continued the timely service of its obligations to foreign investors. The bank’s foreign debt repayments scheduled for 2008, about USD 1.2 billion in total, have been completed without any refinancing, which has demonstrated, once again, BTA’s capacity to honour all of its obligations as they fall due.

In accordance with the schedule, in the course of the year BTA repaid a total of USD 1 billion in syndicated loans, with USD 530.9, USD 2.5, USD 27.5, USD 66.6, USD 193.4 and USD 177.5 million repaid in March, May, June, July, September and November, respectively. Also, the bank retired USD 200 million in bonds.
