OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2008. From November 30 till December 4, 2008 N.W.Telecom provided technical support to the “Live Q&A Session” with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, ensuring high-quality uninterrupted operation of communication facilities in all regions of the North-Western Federal District. This year, N.W.Telecom for the first time enabled residents of remote communities to call the “Live Q&A Session” from universal service payphones.

In all, over 60,000 calls were received from residents of the North-West of Russia between November 30 and December 4, 2008 by the “Live Q&A Session” telephone No. (8-800-200-40-40) (of these, over 700 from universal service payphones.) Most of the calls were from St. Petersburg residents (over 20,000), with over 6,500 calls from Leningrad Oblast and over 5,000 calls from Murmansk Oblast.

N.W.Telecom also contributed to providing channels for the “TV bridge” broadcast with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation on December 4, 2008. The TV bridge involved a shooting area on the premises of Zvezdochka Shipyard in Severodvinsk.
