OREANDA-NEWS  On 11 December was announced, that the reconstruction of Staroe Kosino neighbourhood within Kosino-Ukhtomsky township, east Moscow, is scheduled to be launched in 2011.

According to a press service of the prefecture of the eastern administrative district of Moscow, the relevant decree has been already drafted in the prefecture for being approved by City Hall. It was added that the low-rise houses located within Staroe Kosino are to be demolished during the reconstruction.

“All municipal housing having less than five storeys will be demolished,” the press service specified. The residents of the low-rise houses will be moved to new buildings to be raised in the same neighbourhood. The new residential buildings won’t be taller than eight storeys.

“The private houses will be demolished only in accordance with their owners’ consent,” the press service emphasized.

The new neighbourhood is designed to comprise an office building, a kindergarten, a centre for aesthetic education, a mixed-use sports complex and Pyatyorochka food store.
