OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2008. JSC Aeroflot Russian Airlines received the 23th A320 aircraft by Airbus. At the moment, Aeroflot’s fleet includes 44 crafts of the family: A319/320/321. The new aircraft is called after N. Miklukho-Maklai, a Russian ethnographer, anthropologist, biologist and traveler, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

The aircraft was received within the operational leasing deal made in 2007. The leasing company is Wahaflot Leasing 2 Limited.

In 2008, Aeroflot expects the delivery of another A320 aircraft. All the machines are supplied directly ex-factory. In 2009, 18 more A320 family aircrafts are to be delivered. The cabins are delivered in a double-class layout and are designed for 116 (A319), 140 (A320) and 170 (A321) passengers. Aeroflot operates the A320 family in a network of routs in Europe and inside Russia. Aeroflot is one of the world’s leaders in terms of operational reliability figures and actual hours flown per aircraft.
