OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2008. In 2008, the exports of Gomselmash will soar more than twice compared with 2007 to exceed USD 200 million.

Gomselmash has been posting double increase in its export every year beginning 2005. It means that the export of the agricultural machinery produced by the enterprise is growing at an exponential rate.

As far as plans for 2009 are concerned, the experts predict that the further growth rate will remain in place. However, financial problems of potential foreign customers may be the only deterring factor of the further increase in exports.

Nevertheless, today Gomselmash has an impressive order portfolio. The company has almost completed a major supply of machinery to Ukraine that had been paid for in advance; it is actively negotiating with partners from Russia, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, Iran and some other countries. A state order for grain harvesters is expected to be considerably increased (by 20-25%) in 2009.

Production corporation Gomselmash was established on the basis of Gomselmash plant in 1978. The plant was founded in 1930. At present the company employs 17,000 people. It is a multi-business producer of machines used to cultivate and harvest basic crops utilizing contemporary agrarian technologies. The company’s line-up includes machines for harvesting grain, forage crops, sugar beet, potato, as well as mowers and machines for complex soil cultivation.

The company’s designing, manufacturing and maintenance practices are certified for compliance with the international quality management system ISO 9001-2001. Many times Gomselmash won awards at contests “Belarus Best Products” and “Belarus Best Products in the Russian Federation”.
