OREANDA-NEWS  On 16 December was announced, that a residential complex with the area of roughly 500,000 sq m will be raised in the place of the Northern River Port in Moscow.

“The port in its current condition doesn’t fit in the urban development plans of Moscow. The local residents are cut off by it throughout 1.5 km from one of few places of rest – the Khimkinskoe Reservoir. At the suggestion of architects, an urban housing complex featuring the essential infrastructure with the total area of roughly 500,000 sq m is to go up on the lot occupied by the old port,” a press service of the northern administrative district of Moscow said.

The developers expect the new complex to house more than 8,000 residents.

“If everything goes according to plan, the new neighbourhood will appear in 4 years,” the press service noted.

Transshipment is planned to be moved from the Northern River Port to the Dmitrov metro area within the Moscow Region.
