OREANDA-NEWS  On 16 December was announced, that In the southwest district of Kostroma Kostromaenergo, a subsidiary of IDGC of Centre, JSC,  has launched work on construction of 110/10 kV Davydovsky.

Davydovsky substation is under construction according to the power facilities development program till 2011 and the agreement on interaction of the Kostroma Region Administration, UES FGC, JSC and IDGC of Centre, JSC on development of electric networks and reliable electricity supply of consumers of the Kostroma Region. The company is also constructing under the same programme and agreement  networks of external electricity supply: 110 kV TPS-2 two-chain  overhead lines,  110 kV Krasnoe two-chain overhead lines and 110 kV Vostochnaya-2 two-chain overhead lines.

Davydovsky substation is a large investment project of Kostromaenergo in 2007-2009. It is intended for power supply of Davydovsky microdistrict, where a new inhabited complex with social facilities, shopping malls, supermarkets and restaurants is under construction.

The first launch complex of a new large electricity substation became a 10 kV distribution unit with overhangs of cable lines at pressure of 10 kV. For supply reliability, the 10 kV distribution unit was attached to the power supply system through two 10 kV cable lines from Karavaevo and Vostochnaya-2 substations. The 10 kV distribution unit was placed in a modular building which has modern 10 kV BB/TEL vacuum switches with 10 kV output device. On 14 September, 2007 the 10 kV distribution unit was connected to electricity.

At the present moment workers are working at the substation itself. They performed  levelling operation of the substation territory, installed a ground system, performed work on anti-lightning protection (installed three lightning divertors), almost completed construction of the general substation management centre and installed foundations (for installation of outdoor-switchgear equipment), double columns, oil-sup container and  an oil pipeline.  Two power transformers with capacity of 25,000 kVA each were placed on the established foundations and are being installed now. The workers are also installing foundations for metal supports at 110 kV overhead lines (overhangs to Davydovsky substation) and installed five metal supports. They received 110 kV outdoor-switchgear equipment, what makes seventeen railway cars. Now they are installing the received equipment of 110 kV outdoor-switchgear.

The substation will operate without constant operation personnel. It will be serviced by   mobile teams. The data will be transmitted through telemechanic channels.

The general contractor of the construction is Investstroikom, JSC; the main subcontractors are Spetsstroiproekt, JSC and Kostromasetremont, JSC. Davydovsky substation will be launched in May, 2009. The cost of the made work is about 400 million roubles.

Belgorodenergo, a subsidiary of IDGC of Centre, JSC, continues construction of new 110 kV Maisky substation in Belgorod. The electricity supply centre will provide with electric power the inhabitants of individual housing  microdistricts and will allow to raise reliability of power supply of consumers of the southern part of Belgorod.

The construction of the power facility is conducted under the agreement on interaction of the government of the Belgorod Region and RAO UES of Russia in the sphere of development of the regional grid system.

Today the workers completed earth work, filled the foundations and installed take-up and bus-based portals of the 110 kV open distribution unit.  110 kV Cheremoshnoe-Luch and Dubovoe-Dolbino overhead lines, that used to cross the territory of 110 kV Maisky substation, were placed out of its boundaries.

The workers prepared a construction part for installation of operations control room and installed panels of relay protection, own needs, operative current, communication devices and other equipment, Besides, they installed supports for inclusion of 110 kV Yuzhnaya-Frunzenskaya overhead line in the system of the substation and installed a partition between two power transformers with the total capacity of 80 MVA.

Four bus sections with K-63 cells, BB/TEL vacuum switchgears and microprocessor Sirius relay protection and automatic equipment will be installed in pairs in the 10 kV distribution device. The block modular design will allow in the future to expand the distribution unit and connect new capacities.

By its quality and number of equipment, 110 kV Maisky will become one of the most hi-tech substations in IDGC of Centre, JSC. There also will be 110 kV SF6 dead tank circuit breakers with installed current transformers and disconnectors with locomotive gearing and polymeric rod-supported isolation wire.

The general contractor is Belgorodenergoremont, JSC. The work is expected to finish at the beginning of 2009.
