OREANDA-NEWS  On 17 December was announced, that in view of social significance of the project for creating effectively operating airline, the management of the holding EUROCEMENT group responded to the call of Bryansk region governor Nikolai Denin, and decided to allocate 1 million rub. to "International airport "Bryansk" established in the summer 2008 involving regional organizations to bring the airport infrastructure back to life.

EUROCEMENT group funds will be used to complete repair works, obtain missing licenses and certificates. Such measures will enable international airport to welcome aircraft just in early 2009.

Governor of Bryansk region repeatedly underlined that local air "harbor" is a business of special importance. Investment attraction and economic safety of Bryansk region, with its unique geographical location, in many respects, depend on transport industry development.

With sufficient investments, reconstructed complex can service air freight on any planes, from An-12 to Boeing 737. "Bryansk" airport is planned to legally enjoy international status, and, with time, become the air gate of Russia within south-western direction wholly.

Thanks to international airway R-22, it connects the Russian capital with Western-Europe and Middle-East megalopolises. According to expert forecasts, "Bryansk" international airport annual passenger turnover may reach 200 thousand people in 2012.
