OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2008. SITRONICS Information Technologies (previously Kvazar-Micro), one of the leading system integrators working in Eastern Europe and CIS countries announced new concept of projecting and construction of CDP, reported the press-centre of SITRONICS.

Noticeable increase of average CDP utilization level during lifetime at essential decrease of initial investments and without essential increase of cost of object possession will be the result of application of new concept that was called Right In Time Extension (RITE). In other words realization of present approach will provide CDP owner with possibility to save part of funds at the expense of exact choice of object scale and transfer essential part of expenses for later term. It makes the concept especially important in the context of economical crisis though during its development such a task was not expressly set.

Main complexity during scheduling of CDP capacity is to forecast correctly rate of its filling with equipment. If rate of its filling is underrated, it is possible to be late with putting into operation new area of CDP till the moment when capacity of operating CDP is over. If rate of its filling is overrated the owner takes the risk of becoming possessor of large waste area of one of the most expensive types of real estate in the world. Taking into consideration long period of construction of new CDP, large marginal capacity shall be laid in projects. That is why average utilization of CDP capacity is often small. Owner has not only to pay for building of waste object but also incur maintenance expenses for unutilized area that are often quite considerable.

Construction of CDP of quick-connectible modules of relatively small capacity would be ideal solution that will allow in any moment have exactly necessary area with minimum reserve. The quicker adding of module can be performed the less is necessary capacity reserve.

Module technologies of CDP are known for a long time. Unfortunately their application is restrained by a number of factors. Application of completely autonomous modules leads to quick rise in price of the object. Application of modules that are connected to external engineer infrastructure does not provide desirable effect of “reserve” reduction in full as expensive external infrastructure has to be built beforehand completely or in large blocks. Finally, as a rule, modules have restrictions by equipment types that can be installed in them.

Novelty of RITE concept consists in combination of stationary nucleus and module part in CDP project. Key factor that ensures economic effect is application of line of completely autonomous module mobile CDP “SITRONICS Daterium” announced earlier that have unexampled low price for capacity unit (irrespective of capacity unit whether it is kilowatt, sq. meter or cabinet/unit) and the shortest on the market time of putting in operation.

Most part of CDP capacity is ensured by module part that is completed as necessary. Stationary nucleus serves mainly for allocation of systems in non-typical cabinets such as large tape libraries or some HiEnd servers. All other equipment is installed inside modules. Part of CDP area is marked out for systems of high density; they can be allocated in both stationary nucleus and modular part during application of specialized modules of high density.

For optimal cost management it is necessary to learn not only to spend not more than it is necessary but also to spend not earlier than it is necessary, - says Vice-President of SITRONICS Concern Mikhail Minkovsky. – Our concept of CDPs construction supposes essential decrease of investment peak during initial stage of project, several times reduction of term of extension realization including small extensions. For realization of RITE concept specialists of SITRONICS developed a number of new engineer solutions.
