OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2008. Noginsk, Moscow region, hosted press-conference "Navigational Data Remote Control System for Communal Service Transport (NDRCS CST)" on Dec 10. The system was presented by V.A.Khvatov, Head of the Noginsk settlement Administration, V.I.Mnev, Department Head, Ministry of Transport, A.E.Boreiko, M2M Telematica CEO.

In his introductory speech V.Khvatov stated that "the Administration pays much attention to improving the effectiveness of the community service transport in the town". "New remote control system for the community service transport will be verified in the Blagoustroistvo entity. This system will provide the opportunity to support efficient utilization of the community`s transport, as well as to monitor fuel consumption", explained the Head of the Administration.

NDRCS CST is to provide data and telecommunication technology-based automatic monitoring capabilities for community service transport, as well as for rendering community services in the municipal unit.

Acquisition of the transport positioning data on the basis of GLONASS signals, transport status data processing and transmission, are supported by the software developed by M2M Telematica. These data are relayed to the dispatcher stations via GPRS links.

M2M-CyberGLX user terminals are applied in the system. The terminals are equipped with GLONASS/GPS and installed on the transport vehicles. The precise positioning data are transmitted to the dispatcher centers; then, the information is acquired in the data analytical center of the town.

Due to CyberFleet® SW embedded in the system, the users can receive the information about vehicle departure and arrival, work and rest duration. Special map displays precise location, unloading places, speed and direction of the vehicle route. Wide range of functional system capabilities include actual monitoring of the fuel consumption, thus reducing the expences; control of waste collection; exclusion of the standby times.

Valery Tyulyupin, M2M Telematica Navigation and Data System Project Manager, explains that: "Introduction of the satellite monitoring system provides effective organisation of the municipal community transport, optimal schedule, i.e. effective budgeting and monitoring for the municipal orders in the communinity services".

NDRCS CST is tested this year in Noginsk, Mozhaisk and Dubna towns under the state contract with the Ministry of Transprt of Moscow region.
