OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2008. The project on construction of a mill complex which will contribute to increasing the volume of flour and bakery output in the country was launched in Turkmenabat in accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan. The Unionmatex Company (Germany) with the assistance of Turkmen specialists will implement the investment project amounted to 28.1 million euros.

Under the contract the computer-aided complex to receive, store and process bread-grain will be built on the 10-hectare area in two years. The industrial complex includes the grain elevator with the storing capacity of 100,000 tons of grain, the flour milling plant with the annual capacity of 80,000 tons and the auxiliary facilities. The elevator will be supplied with state-of-the-art equipment to ensure proper storage of grain. The computer-aided system will monitor and control the flour production process.

In the near future the similar facilities will be put into operation in the Lebap Velayat. In particular, the grain elevators will be built in the Atamurat city and Khalach settlement, the complex including a bakery plant and a macaroni factory will be built in Turkmenabat. A bakery plant will be constructed the Magdanly town. All of these will allow saturating the local food market with a broad range of high-quality flour products.

Like the whole country the Lebap Velayat turned into a large construction site. The largest cotton spinning mill in the country is under construction in Turkmenabat. Each year this production unit amounted to over USD 85 million will produce 17,700 tons of cotton yarn meeting the international quality standard. The Engin Group Company (Turkey) implements the construction project in close collaboration with the Turkmen specialists. The projects on construction of a gas production enterprise in the north of the Lebap Velayat and a refinery unit with the annual capacity of 5 billion cubic meters in the Samandepe field were launched.
