OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2008. ROSNO’s Siberian Directorate has paid the leasing company Uralsib an insurance compensation of 1,555,144 roubles under the MOD insurance contract for the damaged Scania truck, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The Scania truck, manufactured in 2006, had been insured in ROSNO against the risks of fire, theft, and damage.

The traffic accident involving the insured truck occurred in the night on the Novosibirsk — Leninsk-Kuznetskij highway. The driver of Honda Airwave decided to overtake a car driving ahead, wherefore he had to move to the opposite lane. However, given the limited visibility conditions, he failed to properly assess the distance necessary for safe overtaking and collided with the Scania truck head-on.

As a result of this collision, the insured truck sustained deformation of the left fender and cabin footboard, left door, front left spring, decorative grille, front bumper, both radiators, and front cabin airbag. Also, windshield sustained cracks, and both headlights and fog lamps were destroyed.
