OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2008. JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” has received the twenty forth A320 airplane manufactured by Airbus. Presently, the fleet of the airlines numbers 45 airplanes of the A319/320/321 family. The aircraft is named in the honor of Grigoriy Shelikhov, Russian researcher, sailor, manufacturer and merchant, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

The airplane was received within the operational leasing transaction, concluded in 2007. The giver of the leasing is the subsidiary AerVenture Leasing 1 Limited.

In 2009 it is expected to receive 18 more A320 planes. All the aircrafts come directly from the manufacturer. The cabins are manufactured in two class arrangements and intended for 116 (A319), 140 (A320) and 170 (A321) passengers. Aeroflot operates airbuses of the A320 family in the network of European and inner Russian routes.

In accordance with the operational safety and actual aircraft hours indexes per a plane, Aeroflot is included into the range of world leaders.
