OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 December 2008 was announced, that OJSC Pharmacy Chain 36.6 and SIA International LTD reaffirmed their obligations regarding future cooperation and development of the joint commercial projects.

SIA International continues to ship goods to the Pharmacy Chain 36.6 in accordance with the earlier signed supply agreements based on deferred payments.

The parties believe that the earlier developed mechanisms for cooperation and payment of the current accounts payable are quite up-to-date and are mutually acceptable.

Pharmacy Chain 36.6 OJSC and SIA International LTD will continue to expand their cooperation including joint planning of the inventory, streamlining of paperwork, and managing of the logistical processes.

Artem Bektemirov, CEO at Pharmacy Chain 36.6 “The market situation is complicated, but there is a way out, which is to develop open partnership relations with all the participants in the supply chain. We should provide goods to our customers at good prices, but in doing so we must secure fair balance of interests between the distributors and retailers. Prompt decision-making, mutual understanding and support must underlie the strategy, which will help us to maintain stability on the Russian pharmaceutical market”.

Igor Rudinsky, General Director at SIA International Ltd “All market participants are now particularly interested in the stability of the retail segment. Of late, the mass media have widely discussed the issues haunting the pharmaceutical industry, provided quotations wrenched out of the context, which have nothing to do with the overall market situation. Misrepresenting information in the current complicated world can severely impact the entire market. It is important to enhance control and improve the transparency of cooperation between the distributors and retail operators. The current situation calls for using the synergy of distribution and retail business rather than opposing them”.

High level of trust that the companies have built over many years helps them to operate efficiently and provide their customers with a full range of medicines and health good.
