OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2008. Vostokenergo, the energy generating division of DTEK, has donated UAH 148 000 for opening a branch of the ‘Vognyk Nadiya’ Children’s Rehabilitation Center in Kurakhovo town of Donetsk Region. The new center will provide the possibility to study for 4-18 year old children who cannot visit a regular school or a kindergarten due to disability.

The opening of the Center became possible thanks to cooperation between the Citizens’ Labour and Social Protection Department of Maryinka District State Administration, Kurakhovo Town Council, Donetsk Regional Fund of Physically-Challenged Persons, and the large town-forming company Kurakhovskaya TPP (Vostokenergo, DTEK).

The Town Council of Kurakhovo has allocated one of the kindergarten’s rooms for the new rehabilitation branch. The funds transferred by Vostokenergo will be used for repair works and heating system restoration in the building of the Center. This project is financed within the framework of the Social Partnership Agreement between DTEK, Vostokenergo and the Town Council of Kurakhovo. In 2009, it is foreseen to continue cooperation between DTEK and the Town Council of Kurakhovo as regards the project of the children’s rehabilitation branch.
