OREANDA-NEWS. On December 23, 2008 Ukio bankas issued joint payment cards in cooperation with the Lithuanian Trade Union Confederation (LPSK). Maestro-LPSK payment cards will be distributed to all members of the Confederation, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

The cards issued by Ukio bankas together with LPSK will serve as membership cards for members of the Lithuanian trade unions as they carry logos identifying individual trade unions as well as the owners’ photos. The new Maestro LPSK card is a perfect tool to receive regular income, safely and conveniently pay for goods and services or withdraw cash in Lithuania and abroad.

“Ukio bankas and the Lithuanian Trade Union Confederation became social partners. The issue of payment cards displaying LPSK symbols is the first step of the new partnership. We hope to successfully continue joint activities providing mutual benefit and creating value for the society,” Jurate Kajackiene, director of Ukio bankas Payment Cards Department, said.

All holders of the new cards will have the chance to take advantage of Ukio bankas special Discount Program, which allows the clients saving up to 25 percent on the purchases made in Lithuania.

LPSK will also offer a unique “Membership Welfare Package” to its members, which will consist of discounts for daily consumer goods such as food, medicines, fuel etc.

This is not the first case when Ukio bankas issues payment cards carrying symbols of other organisations. Some time ago Ukio bankas introduced the first and the only football card in Lithuania, i. e. MasterCard Football card. It was issued in cooperation with the Lithuanian Football Federation.
