OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 December 2008 was announced, that the Moscow Metro is to open 4 new stations in 2009, a source from City Hall said.

The official noted that the mentioned data had been included in the city government’s program scheduled for 2009 that was to be considered at a session in City Hall on December 30.

“The central section of the Lyublinskaya line from Trubnaya station to Maryina Roshcha station with the length of almost 3 km will be completed and commissioned in 2009 for the further development of the Moscow Metro,” the source added.

Two stations, Dostoevskaya and Maryina Roshcha, are to be open in this section.

“Besides, the 6.3km section on the Mitinsko-Stroginskaya line from Strogino station to Mitino station is to be completed. It will contain two stations, Volokolamskaya and Mitino, to be commissioned,” the source specified.

According to the official, USD 800 million are to be allocated for this purpose from Moscow’s budget funds.
