OREANDA-NEWS. December 31, 2008. The share of crude oil in country’s overall export for Jan-Nov 2008 reached 92.76% with growth of 14.8 fold against the 2007 same term.

The State Customs Committee informs that it was exported 76.49 million tons of crude oil for USD 43.57 bn, including 1.3 million tons for USD 626.979 million in November.

For the reported period the SOCAR Department of Marketing & Economic Operations exported 18.286 million tons of oil (23.91% of the whole crude oil export) and Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) 57.677 million tons (75.4%). In November AIOC did not export in November versus October export of 6.257 million tons and SOCAR exported 1.3 million tons in November against 3.076 million tons in October.

By 1st December 2008, it was carried 30.177 million tons via pipelines (data of controlling and measuring appliances) and 2.06 million tons of oil by rail.

“It was transported 1.3 million tons via Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline, 28.5 million tons via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipe, and 375,518 tons via Baku-Supsa pipe,” the Committee said.

In November it was transported 82,795 tons via Baku-Novorossiysk, 2.055 million tons via BTC and 281,854 tons via Baku-Supsa.

For past 11 months average export price of Azeri oil made USD 569.67 per ton and in November the price dropped USD 479.54 per ton.

For Jan-Nov 2008 Azerbaijan’s overall export reached USD 46.976 bn.
