OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2009. Russia’s consolidated budget was executed with a RUB 3.83 tn surplus in January-October 2008 compared to RUB 2.96 tn in the same period of 2007. This news was released by the Federal Statistics Service on December 31, 2008. Consolidated budget revenue (taking into account governmental non-budget funds) amounted to RUB 13.78 tn in the first ten months of 2008 (RUB 10.51 tn in January-October 2007), while spending came to RUB 9.95 tn (RUB 7.54 tn). The bulk of tax payments to the consolidated budget was made in January-October 2008 on income derived from foreign trade activities (RUB 3.07 tn), RUB 2.29 tn as payments for the corporate profit tax, RUB 1.72 tn for taxes and social security contributions (RUB 663.4 bn as the uniform social tax), RUB 1.55 tn fell to taxes, duties and regular payments for the use of natural resources, VAT imposed on goods sold in Russia amounted to RUB 957.7 bn, VAT imposed on goods exported to the Russian Federation equaled RUB 941.1 bn and personal income tax payments equaled RUB 1.32 tn.
