OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 January 2009 was announced, that the Belarusian government approved the package of measures developed by the Agriculture Ministry to promote farm production for 2010, a source in the administration of the country told.

Grain output is expected at 10 million tonnes in 2010, meat output at 1.5 million tonnes, and milk output at 8 million tonnes.

Fertilizer application is expected at 292 kilograms per hectare in 2010, including 97 kilograms of nitrogen fertilizers, 78 kilograms of phosphate fertilizers and 117 kilograms of potash fertilizers.

The measures will be approved by a special resolution of the government, which will also envisage liability of authorities for failure to meet the targets.
