OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2009. The Tatarstan Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) fined "Tatneftservice" CJSC for fixing and maintaining monopolistically high prices for aviation kerosene, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Earlier the Tatarstan OFAS Russia recognized that "Tatneftservice" CJSC violated Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition". The Tatarstan OFAS Russia found that the prices for aviation kerosene, set by "Tatneftservice" CJSC in 2007-2008, exceeded the amount of necessary expenses and company's profit associated with selling aviation kerosene for aircrafts fuelling. Aviation kerosene was supplied through intermediate sellers, which increased the price of aviation kerosene and airfares.

Having investigated the administrative case, the Tatarstan OFAS Russia imposed a turnover fine upon "Tatneftservice" CJSC.
