OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2009. Signing of sale and purchase agreements at the Baku automobile market activated in December 2008 compared to the previous few months.

Public union “Real Estate Participants” reports that experts link this activity to the large extent with seasonal factors.

“In December 2008 growth of supply reached 1.4% and despite that supply remained stable,” it was reported.

Last month the secondary market of automobiles was set out up to 6,600 motor vehicles. 39% of them were set out for the market in December and 61% remained since the previous few months.

“Exposition period increased up to 75 days,” the public union informed.

In December 2008 average price at the automobile market of Azerbaijan dropped by 7% (from USD 19,650 to USD 18,250).

“Financial crisis affected reduction of prices for automobiles. Most of all it affected primary automobile market where prices fell by 10% and at the secondary market decrease made 7%,” it was informed.
