OREANDA-NEWS. January 19, 2009. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received VINCI Vice President for Export Jean-Marie Wolf, the VINCI Group Director for Development, the Chief Architect and the Project Manager.

Thanking the Turkmen leader for the opportunity of a personal meeting the guests informed of the company’s intense interest in developing cooperation with Turkmenistan as a very promising business partner. Mr. Jean-Marie Wolf said that ranking among the largest companies in construction VINCI stood ready to offer its profound expertise, advanced technologies and wide spectrum of services to Turkmenistan.

Greeting the French businessmen Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that pursuing the strategy of large-scale social and economic reforms Turkmenistan relied on the introduction of scientific and technical advances that the VINCI Company had succeeded in. The President said that Turkmenistan would welcome the operation of so highly competent partners on the dynamically development domestic construction market.

The guests presented the projects designed by the VINCI specialists with the assistance of the Turkmen colleagues and revised to meet the Turkmen leader’s recommendations. These included the buildings of the Ruhnama University and the Polytechnic Institute, the Ashgabat Khyakimlik and Halkbank and the oceanarium.

Upon thoroughly considering and approving the projects in whole the President provided some recommendation to the French partners emphasizing that each of the construction projects should combine the advanced engineering thought and best achievements of modern architecture. The projects of the Ruhnama University and the Polytechnic Institute should be the modern university campuses and comply with the goals of the ongoing educational and scientific reforms in Turkmenistan. The project of the oceanarium should widely apply the elements of national decor reflecting the ancient history of the Turkmen people.

Thanking the President of Turkmenistan for giving confidence to the company and providing an opportunity to discuss the aspects of cooperation the French businessmen assured that the Turkmen leader’s recommendation would be taken into consideration.
