OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 January 2009 was announced, that PAVA (www.apkhleb.ru) summarized 2008 results in export shipments. According to the received data, export sales grew by 77.5% against 2007 figures. To date, PAVA has established business partnerships with wholesalers and manufacturers from 13 countries of far and near abroad. Among them – Mongolia, Afghanistan, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand and others.

In 2008, PAVA monthly overseas shipments were characterized by a steadily high level. Positive dynamics can be seen right from the first months of the period. At the end of the year, the monthly growth rate of shipments starts to accelerate and reaches 60% on average.

A number of factors have contributed to the export sales increase. Firstly, the list of partner countries was enlarged (Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Bangladesh) as well as the overall client base. Secondly, after the breakthrough on overseas markets made in 2007, in 2008 the company successfully built up brand recognition.

“In a way, this year’s results show how our efforts pay off. Literally speaking, word about our products and company spread across borders. We expanded the client base largely due to the fact that our partners shared news about the positive experience with their colleagues”, said Angela Kiseleva, PAVA Commercial Director.

Thirdly, exports increased due to efficient collaboration with sea ports and optimal logistics schemes.

Extended product assortment was another growth factor. Today PAVA is exporting not only traditional high and first-grade flour but also protein-enriched vitaminized flour, extra-grade flour, semolina, buckwheat, peas, granulated and non-granulated bran.

“The new year poses more serious issues. We envisage to expand the sales geography, and today we are conducting negotiations with companies representing different continents. The new product, protein-enriched vitaminized flour that we have been working with for less than half a year, is a successful start for penetrating new markets. The company continues to develop innovative, highly nutritional products which gives us another advantage for exploring opportunities abroad”, commented Angela Kiseleva.
