OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 January 2009 wa JSC Pharmstandard (LSE: PHST LI, RTS: PHST RU) announced European Union Good Manufacturing Practice (EU GMP) certifications obtainment for 6 production lines of JSC "Pharmstandard-Leksredstva". Latvian State Medicines Agency during its prior inspection confirmed that products are consistently produced and controlled to the quality standards appropriate to their intended use according to GMP guidelines.

GMP certificates obtainment is the result of company’s continuous work (started in 2005) for the product lines certification. At present, 6 production lines (65% of the total production capacity) of JSC "Pharmstandard-Leksredstva" meet GMP requirements. In 2008 the company produced 160 million packs of tablets, capsules, sachets, sprays, syrups and suspensions on the certified lines.
