OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2009. Two fire-related insurance accidents occurred with owners of cottage houses in Moscow Region. The aggregate damage reimbursed by the insurance company ROSNO amounted to 13,500,692 roubles, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The cottage house located in Pushkinsky district of the Moscow Region suffered a fire due to the electricity network breakdown. The timber building with the total space of 195 sq.m. burnt down almost completely.

This cottage house, together with structural elements, furnishing and communication system, had been insured by ROSNO under the Citadel program.

The insurance contract provided coverage against the following risks: fire, lightning, gas explosion, flood, illegal third-party actions, natural disasters, collision with land vehicles, and aircraft impact. ROSNO has paid the owner an insurance compensation of 3,006,254 roubles.

Another fire, caused by short circuit in electrical wiring, occurred in Voskresensky district of the Moscow Region. This house had also been insured under the Citadel program. The insurance compensation equalled 10,494,438 roubles.
