OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2009. The enterprises of Kazakhstan in 2008 was rendered the services in the amount of 412.3 billion tenge (current 121.26/US1), which is 10.4% more than in 2007, reported the press-centre of Kazakhtelecom.

According to the Agency of Kazakhstan on statistics, including the public services provided at 165.7 billion tenge, which is 11.1% more than in 2007. During the period under review the structure of income from services, the percentage of mobile communications was 52.8% (compared to 2007 the volume of mobile services grew by 17.6%).

In total telecommunications revenue in 2008, revenues from sales of services to the population amounted to 40.2%. However, the income from sales of services to the population accounted for 57.7% revenue from mobile services, 17.7% - domestic and international communications, 10,6% - local calling and 14% - other forms of communication.

In Kazakhstan, currently the bulk of telecommunications services and communications services provided to joint-stock company “Kazakhtelecom” and public company KazPost.

There are five mobile operators, including three operators providing services in standard GSM. The population of Kazakhstan exceeds 15.7 million people.
