OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 January 2009 was announced, that MVK International Exhibition Company Joined the National Confederation of Packagers (NKPak). The non-profit partnership “National Confederation of Packagers” is a branch association acting in the interests of the packaging market players.

Among the NKPak priorities are: consolidation of the Russian packaging industry; effective cooperation with governmental structures and direct contacts with the Sub-Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia concerning packaging industry; cooperation with industrial unions and associations; analytical, information, educational and exhibition activity.

The priorities stated meet the targets and aims of MVK International Exhibition Company and ROSUPAK exhibition which makes a considerable contribution to development of packaging industry in Russia and Eastern Europe.

At present time NKPak counts 42 members from 20 regions of Russia. Among them are the companies producing various kinds of packaging and equipment, unions and associations, R&D institutions, mass media dealing with manufacture and application of packaging materials, goods and equipment. NKPak President is A. Zagorsky, DSc (economics), head of GC Ecotech, St. Petersburg; executive director is A. Boiko, Chairman of the Sub-Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia concerning packaging industry.
