OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 January 2009 was announced, that an alternative route to Dmitrovskoe Highway in Moscow is planned to be built from Cherepovetskaya Street to Street of the 800th Years of Moscow by 2012.

The citizens of four townships, Western Degunino, Eastern Degunino, Beskudnikovo and Dmitrovo, reach the Moscow Metro through Dmitrovskoe Highway.

“Reconstruction of two interchanges on Dmitrovskoe Highway and construction of its alternative are to be completed by 2012,” a press service of the northern administrative district of Moscow said.

According to it, the road interchanges on Dmitrovskoe Highway where it is crossed by 3rd Nizhnelikhoborsky Proezd and Korovinskoe Highway are to start undergoing reconstruction when a section of Dmitrovskoe Highway from the small ring of Moscow Railway to Korovinskoe Highway has been overhauled.

“The further reconstruction of the highway remains one of the immediate tasks aimed at developing the district transport network. Northern Moscow is also to implement new large-scale projects: construction of Northern Belt Road and the fourth ring road,” the press service added.
