OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2009. This year Turkmenmermer JSC with the main enterprise – the marble and granite processing plant in Ovadan Depe has started to produce marble road kerbs. Neutrality Avenue, where Turkmen road builders completed reconstruction of the central section on the eve of the winter holidays, was the first to ‘try on’ this novelty.

A strategic task set by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Ministry of Construction Materials Industry is to meet the increasing needs of the national construction market in domestically produced high-quality affordable construction materials. This issue was put on the agenda of the recent enlarged sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers during which the Turkmen leader specified the priority trends in the development of this sector for 2009. In particular, it is planned to increase the volume of production of non-metallic construction materials, precast concrete constructions and haydite.

Taking a modern and efficient approach to the designated tasks the enterprise expands the range of goods. It produces many kinds of new construction materials from production wastes. The advantages of such an approach include reduction of product costs, mitigation of the impact on the environment and saving of the costs on transportation and utilization of wastes.

Two enterprises of the ministry – Demirbetonkonstruktzia and Turkmenmermer are engaged in manufacturing the new materials.

Close partnership is established between Turkmenmermer JSC and the Santehonumlery plant to produce the hydraulic insulating material – isogan. The Santehonumlery specialists assembled the production unit without outside help. This year they have put the unit into operation and started to manufacture a new kind of roofing materials – folgoisol.

The Demirbetononumlery enterprise in Abadan started to produce strong wall block Rifey-Buran from the local raw materials.

Demirbetononemlery is the first enterprise in the country to apply the technologies of manufacturing the tiles from artificial marble in industry. The samples of pink, malachite green and blue artificial marble tiles will be exposed at the National Exhibition of Turkmenistan in Uzbekistan this February.
