OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2009. In January-November 2008, Moldavian export to EU amounted to US758,5 million or 51,3% of the total export.

At the same time, import from EU made US 1 billion 957,3 million or 31,1% more than at the same period of 2007 amounting to 45,6% of the total import.

Trade balance deficit with EU grew by 35,24% and amounted to US 1 billion 198,8 million as compared to US 879,9 million in January-November 2007.

The main export partners of Moldova among EU countries are: Romania (US 315 million or 21,6% of the total export), Italy (US 133,3 million or 9%), Germany (US 60,2 million or 4,1%), Poland (US 52,6 million or 3,6%), Great Britain– (US 48,1 million or 3,3%).

The main import partners of Moldova are: Romania (US 566 million or 12,6%), Germany (US 338 million or 7,5%), Italy (US 277,1 million or 6,2%), Poland (US 112,3 million or 2,5%), France (US 95,5 million or 2,1%) and Austria US 68,9 million or 1,5%).
