OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 January 2009 was announced, that Kansky elevator, PAVA structural unit situated in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, has been accredited for storing state intervention grain. The storage capacity stands at approximately 60,000 tonnes.

Preparing for successful accomplishment of this task, PAVA carried out a series of recovery measures, assembled the working team. Today, the enterprise is fully ready for active operations in grain receiving, drying and handling; the laboratory has been approved as meeting all technical requirements. PAVA appointed an expert manager as head of the elevator, with vast experience in grain processing business, as well as activities regarding storage of state intervention grain.

“PAVA is working in close collaboration with local authorities, agricultural producers, growers, offering to sell grain to the state intervention fund; in any case, at present the government is the most eligible buyer, offering the best price and proper fulfillment of the contract terms. All in all, resuming the elevator operations in the Kansky area is a positive trend, seeing that PAVA has solid experience in agricultural business, is familiar with the market environment, and, most importantly, enjoys reputation of a reliable partner. Collaboration with the Altay grain processor will be on the constant not on seasonal basis, and the company makes the most advantageous bid. This may result in long-term contracts with the elevator, because PAVA has mutual interests and benefits with local growers”, notes Angela Kiseleva, PAVA Commercial Director. Currently, Kansky elevator is actively conducting commercial sales of wheat and strengthens partnerships with farms.
