OREANDA-NEWS. January 23, 2009. An oil gush with a steady flow rate of 300 cubic meters a day was obtained from a new well in the Maloichskoe field of the Novosibirsk Region, informed the press center of the Federal Agency for Management of Subsoil Use (Rosnedra), reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

In 2007, TNK-BP purchased from NK RussNeft 66.16% of shares (87.91% of voting shares) of Severnoeneftegaz, the company developing the Maloichskoe field.

The Maloichskoe oil field, discovered in 1974 and put into pilot development in 1989, belongs to the group of the southernmost oil and gas deposits found in Western Siberia. This field is considered small according to the size of its reserves and difficult according to its geological structure.

The in-place recoverable oil reserves of category C1 in this field amount to 2.310 million tons (as estimated in 1989). In the period of prospecting and exploration works, 22 wells were drilled in this field, 10 of which yielded flows of oil and oil with water.
