OREANDA-NEWS. On 29 January 2009 was announced, that Belarus plans to increase financing of the state program to acquire modern equipment for the agricultural sector 68.3 on the year in 2009 to 2.606 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br). The new volume of financing has been approved by presidential ordinance #36 dated January 13.

Financing from the republican budget will amount to 736 billion rubles, under the ordinance. Investment from the national development fund is projected at 144.2 billion rubles, and from the agriculture support fund 591.8 billion rubles.

Lukashenko instructed Belarusian banks to lend 1.586 trillion rubles to state procuring and lease organizations, including region agriculture services, OAO Promagroleasing, OAO Agromashservice, and Belagrosevrice.

In 2009, region administrations are expected to provide 1.201 trillion rubles’ worth of state guarantees under loan agreements.

Belarusian agricultural companies will also use 284.356 billion rubles of their own funds.

Under the program, in 2009 it is planned to procure 1,530 grain harvesters worth 733.2 billion rubles, 200 fodder choppers worth 65.2 billion rubles, 75 flax harvesters to the amount of 18.7 billion rubles, 650 front-end loaders worth 120.5 billion rubles, 1,662 tractors for estimated 466 billion rubles, 1,065 trucks to the amount of 170.4 billion rubles.
