We informed them about the performance of domestic banks last year, provided information on the provision of loans by banks, the amounts of bad loans and specific provisions made for them.

We also talked about other issues of interest to the members of the Seimas. We had an open, business-like conversation and clarified all issues of concern”, told Mr. Reinoldijus Sarkinas after the meeting.

When informing the media about the meeting, Mr. Kestutis Glaveckas, Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee of the Seimas, noted that “the position of the central bank with respect to both commercial bank supervision and the Law on the Credibility of the Litas is sufficiently effective”.
