OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 January 2009 was announced, that the city authorities of Moscow are to proceed with the repair-and-renewal operations in the capital of South Ossetia suffered from the military clash with Georgia in August 2008.

“For this purpose a task force composed of experts in municipal services is going from Moscow to Tskhinvali to render assistance in restoring and repairing the damaged objects, water and electricity supply systems, in running the Tskhinvali housing,” a source from City Hall said.

According to the official, the task force involved Aleksandr Shanin, deputy chairman of Moskomekspertiza, the representatives of Mosstroynadzor and Department for Municipal Services and Improvement of Moscow, JSC MOESK and JSC MOEK. “Now, in a week they are to introduce the concrete proposals for the further repair-and-renewal operations in Tskhinvali to Vladimir Resin, first deputy Mayor of Moscow,” the official noted.
