OREANDA-NEWS. On 03 February 2009 was announced, that in 2008 Tolmachevo International Airport (Novosibirsk) together with the air carriers intensively developed route network.

The biggest growth of passenger traffic among the domestic routes were Omsk and Tyumen (the growth 600% to the 2007), Chita, Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk.

The most popular international routes were Sanya ( up 13.3 times, Sharm-el-Sheikh (up 5.24 times), Denpasar (up 2.8 times). The growth was also achieved on the routes to Bodrum (+74.9%), Simferopol (+92.3%), Khojend (+66.4%), Astana (+61%), Urumchi (+59%), Seoul and others.

In 2008 was started new route to Tel Aviv. Flight frequency was increased both on domestic directions (Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Neryungri, Omsk, Tyumen, Chita, Yakutsk) and international directions (Antalya, Bangkok, Dubai, Seoul, Urumchi, Sharm-el-Sheik) and others.

In 2008 new airlines were brought in Tolmachevo Airport – Orenburg Airlines to Orenburg, Polet Airlines to Yekaterinburg-Voronezh, ITEK AIR and Avia Traffic Company to Osh. Air Company SCAT launched connecting flight by the route Novosibirsk-Ust-Kamenogorsk-Almaty.

In the result of the project aimed at bringing new airlines to Tolmachevo Airport. The following carriers are going to launch their service in 2009 - Czech Airlines to Prague, Turkish Airlines to Antalya and Istanbul, Scat to Almaty, KD Avia to Kaliningrad.

Along with the new airlines the additional flights will be also launched by the operating carriers - S7 Airlines, Transaero and Aeroflot.
