OREANDA-NEWS. February 02, 2009. Austrian Airlines — a large international company, the member of frequent flyer program of Miles & More — and ZAO Raiffeisenbank announced the release of unique co-branded credit card Austrian Airlines-Raiffeisenbank MasterCard as part of a long-term partnership agreement, reported the press-centre of Raiffeisenbank.

The new Austrian Airlines-Raiffeisenbank MasterCard credit card comprises the advantages of one of the leading Russian banks and of the international airline operating flights all over the world, as well as of the largest global frequent flyer program of Miles & More, including such airlines as Lufthansa, SWISS International Airlines, etc.

The Austrian Airlines-Raiffeisenbank MasterCard credit card is available in all cities where the bank has its presence, and permits paying for goods and services with bank funds using the credit card while at the same time accumulating miles under the Miles & More program, which can later be exchanged for award flights of various companies. For every 30 roubles spent using the credit card the customer will accumulate one mile under the Miles & More program.

"Austrian Airlines are very proud of its cooperation with Raiffeisenbank and of the new joint credit card. Raiffeisenbank became a reliable partner in Russia both for Austrian Airlines and for our international travellers. By granting the advantages of our frequent flyer program Miles & More this credit card will definitely attract the attention of Russian customers," said Austrian Airlines Marketing Director Isabella Reichl, voicing her opinion. "Our Passengers can earn award miles every time using the Austrian Airlines-Raiffeisenbank MasterCard. These miles can be spent for air tickets on Austrian Airlines and also on STAR Alliance Airlines, and can be used for upgrades on Austrian Airlines. All you need is a membership in Miles & More. The Austrian Airlines-Raiffeisenbank MasterCard is a MUST for every international traveller!"

"The release of Austrian Airlines-Raiffeisenbank MasterCard credit card presents an important step on the way towards strategic collaboration with one of the leading international airlines and one of the largest payment systems. The partnership of Raiffeisenbank with Austrian Airlines and MasterCard is mutually advantageous not only for the companies themselves, but also for our customers — frequent flyers. I am sure that this new credit card will help the travellers feel real financial freedom and will ensure many nice impressions during the flight. The credit card’s unique design will add positive emotions when making day-by-day purchases," said Andrey Stepanenko, Member of the Board of Raiffeisenbank, the Head of Consumer Banking Directorate.

"The participation of world famous companies such as Austrian Airlines and Raiffeisenbank in the project makes the new co-branded product even more attractive for the customers. The holders of the Austrian Airlines-Raiffeisenbank MasterCard credit card will now receive bonuses and accumulate miles, which can later be exchanged for award flight, without changing their habits, but only using the card to pay for their usual purchases," said the acting Head of Representative Office of MasterCard Europe in Russia Ilya Riaby.
