OREANDA-NEWS. February 03, 2009. The Government of Ukraine is negotiating with six countries on attracting credits to finance planned deficit of the State Budget for 2009. This was disclosed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko during a meeting on problem issues of the Kharkiv Aviation Plant.

The Head of Government informed that in connection with the global financial crisis the banks have no opportunity to finance the budget planned deficit and so the Government carries on negotiations on this issue with six powerful, financially stable countries of the world, two of which have already agreed for such step. “Ukraine will be able to finance the budget planned deficit,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.

The Prime Minister emphasized that against other countries the State Budget deficit of Ukraine is minimal and amounts 2 percent. “The Budget deficit we have, we use exceptionally for development expenses, not a penny for corroding, everything goes to the Stabilization Fund,” Yulia Tymoshenko highlighted.
