OREANDA-NEWS. On 05 February 2009 was announced, that 32 modern high-rise residential buildings are to be raised in the area within Beskudnikovo township occupied by 59 dilapidated five-storey houses, a press service of the prefecture of the northern administrative district of Moscow said.

According to the source, neighbourhood 6 located within Beskudnikovo is to undergo a reconstruction. It provides for taking down 19 five-storey houses with the total area of 70,000 sq m and building 220,000 sq m of new housing.

“We plan to start the all-inclusive reconstruction of neighbourhoods 5 and 7 in the near future,” the press service noted.

It added that 40 five-storey houses with the total area of roughly 180,000 sq m were to be demolished in two neighbourhoods. About 0.5 million sq m of new housing will be built instead of them. Each of the neighbourhoods will also be provided with two new kindergartens.

In total, 59 houses are to be taken down and 32 new ones are to be erected in three neighbourhoods of Beskudnikovo by the end of 2010. A growth in the overall living area will be more than 350,000 sq m.
