OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 February 2009 was announced, that City Hall intends to become the owner of a thermal water resort in Bulgaria to improve Muscovites’ health, Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov said at a meeting with Bulgarian President Georgi Purvanov on February 6.

“Moscow has made a decision to reconstruct Kamchia health resort in Bulgaria where we send the children to take a rest in summer and the elderly – in autumn. At the same time we are currently in talks to acquire one more Bulgarian sanatorium to improve Muscovites’ health with the use of thermal water,” Mr Luzhkov added.

According to the Mayor of Moscow, the relations between Russia and Bulgaria have been pressed forward in recent years.

“We hope for collaboration to cement the trade and economic ties and improve the health services. We note a growth of the trade and economic partnership relations in recent years. I can’t specify the percentage, it exceeds a hundred,” Mr Luzhkov emphasized.
