Igor Artemyev, the Head of FAS Russia, informed the meeting on organizational work for the 42nd Congress of the International Advertising Association (IAA), which will take place on 11-14 May in Moscow.

Decisions on holding the 42nd World Advertising Congress of IAA in 2010 in Russia was made at the session of the Board of Directors of this international organization. On 20th March 2008 IAA and the Moscow Government singed a Memorandum on organizing 2010 Congress in the capital of the Russian Federation. IAA Congresses enable the host country organizing a large-scale event, which boosts national reputation, with involvement of high-ranking representatives of national and foreign governmental bodies, media and advertising holdings, as well as the leading experts on advertising.

FAS Russia believes that organizing the IAA World Advertising Congress in Moscow will encourage further harmonization of national legislations on advertising as well as business practices, which is a mandatory condition for intensification of international commercial and investment relations and optimal integration of Russia in the global economic system.
