Vnukovo-2 Will Be Renewed by 2010
OREANDA-NEWS On 18 February 2009 was announced, that Moscow’s city authorities intend to complete the reconstruction of Vnukovo-2 air terminal complex in 2009.
“Under the Moscow Government’s decree, the department for city-ordered capital construction is in charge of ensuring the fulfilment of the object reconstruction in 2009,” a source from City Hall said.
According to the official, City Hall is to allocate over 900 million roubles (~USD 25 million) for this work.
JSC Vnukovo Airport CEO Vasiliy Aleksandrov noted the engineering facilities of the airport were updated and a new security system was launched in 2008.
It is scheduled for 2009 to complete the development of a new international passenger terminal, to set up counters for passengers’ unassisted check-in and to proceed with the passenger service improvement.
