OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 February 2009 was announced, that Art Properties real estate consultant has signed the lease contracts with three anchor tenants of Vegas shopping centre (former Kashirsky Mall).

According to a press release from the company, under the terms of the contracts Auchan and M.video, as the leading retailers, are to lease 22,000 and 3,700 square metres of the mall area, respectively. Luxor nine-screen multiplex will occupy 5,500 square metres.

Vegas shopping centre being developed by Crocus Group is scheduled to be open in September 2009. The complex is located at the junction of Kashirskoe Highway and the 24th kilometre of the MKAD (highway encircling Moscow), near Tvoy Dom hypermarket.

“The deal proves that we go on expanding the department store chain within Russia,” the press release quotes Auchan Russia development manager Jerome Depey.

“We have implemented our rich experience of developing high-quality malls as well as the up-to-date innovative retail ideas in this project,” Crocus International sales manager Emin Agalarov said.

The 398,000-square-metre shopping centre is to comprise 300 boutiques and stores, a hypermarket, a multiplex, an ice rink and a theme park.
