OREANDA-NEWS. On 25 February 2009 was announced, that in early February, ICC Russia held its annual meeting to sum up the results of its activities in 2008.

The meeting was held on the premises of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one of the founders of the Russian National Committee of International Chamber of Commerce — World Business Organization, and was attended by 70 ICC Russia's member companies and special guests.

Raiffeisenbank represented by the Head of Documentary Business Department Tatiana Shalashnikova is an active member of the ICC Commission on Banking Technique and Practice. In her report addressed to the National committee members and guests of the meeting, Tatiana described the main activities of the ICC Commission on Banking Technique and Practice in 2008, new versions of the ICC Uniform Rules, and ICC Russia's events in which Raiffeisenbank took part.

"Summing up the activity of the ICC Commission on Banking Technique and Practice, I would like to emphasize our effort to make a Russian translation of the Uniform Rules for Documentary Letters of Credit UCP 600. This turned out to become a real event of great interest to the whole Russian banking community. We have offered certain practical recommendations on the interpretation and use of the Russian translation of the Rules," Tatiana Shalashnikova pointed out. "Let me thank all members of our team for their responsible and professional work throughout 2008, and I hope for our effective cooperation in 2009".

The meeting was also addressed by Director of the International Cooperation Department of the RF Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Vasiliev, Chairman of the ICC Russia's Arbitration Commission Alexander Komarov, Chief of Secretariat of the Board of Directors of OAO "Wimm-Bill-Dann" Valery Kupriyenko, and Chief of the group of experts responsible for the development of the Russian Code of Practice for advertising and marketing communications prepared by the ICC Russia's Marketing and Advertising Commission Dmitriy Badalov.
