OREANDA-NEWS. On 27 February 2009 was announced, that in the sitting of working group on construction the gas transportation system “Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok”, which was conducted today in Khabarovsk by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of RF in FEFD Oleg Safonov, there has been participated by the General Director of JSC “Far Eastern Generating Company” (JSC “FEGC”) Valery LEVIT.

V. Levit has told about the plans of the energy company for transfer from fuel oil and coal to natural gas operating in Vladivostok power stations and boiler shops of JSC “FEGC”, and also about intention to gasify the future mini-CHPPs on Russian island (they should be constructed there for power provision of the sites of the APEC countries summit, which will take place in September 2012).

General Director of JSC “FEGC” has presented to the participants of the seating – among them there were representatives of JSC “Gasprom” and the heads of the territories, where there will pass the route of gas pipeline (Primorsky and Khabarovsky krais, Jewish Autonomous oblast) – outline schedule of realization of projects of gasification of the energy sites.

We remind you that the Government of the Russian Federation assigned to JSC “Gasprom” to create the gas transportation system “Sakhalin – Khabarovsk – Vladivostok” and arrange gas supply of Primorsky krai not later than the 3rd quarter of 2011, which is connected to the terms of conducting the APEC summit in Vladivostok.

Nowadays all the sources of electric and heat power in Vladivostok (Vladivostokskaya CHPP-2, Vladivostokskaya CHPP-1, boiler shop “Severnaya”) are operating on coal and fuel oil. All of them are located in the down town of the city. At the same time the power consumption in the capital of Primoriye is growing by incredible for Russia in the situation of global economic stagnation rates – over 5% in 2008. The further increase of production by the city power sources, including potential ones on Russian island, is favourable on more environmental friendly kinds of fuel, which is natural gas.

We noted, that in 2008 JSC “Far Eastern Generating Company” has completed realization of two complex projects, connected with transfer of fuel oil stations in Khabarovsky krai to natural gas from Sakhalin shelf. For blue fuel there were transferred Nikolayevskaya CHPP and Khabarovskaya CHPP-2.
