OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 March 2009 was announced, that one of the major US carriers, United Airlines, will launch its new service from Moscow International Airport Domodedovo to Washington Dulles Airport on 30 March 2009, subject to regulatory approval.

United offers customers travelling from Moscow connecting service from Washington Dulles to 61 destinations in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. Conveniently connect through Washington D.C. to major US cities including: Boston, San Francisco, Miami, Tampa, Seattle, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix. Furthermore, Domodedovo Airport offers passengers connections to over 206 destinations around the world. The route network offered by airlines serving Domodedovo is unique - 86 destinations can be reached only and exclusively from Domodedovo.

United Airlines is a member of Star Alliance - a major international alliance uniting over 20 airlines worldwide. Today nine Star Alliance members : Austrian Airlines, bmi, Egypt Air, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, Spanair, Swiss, Thai International Airways and Asiana airlines operate flights from Domodedovo.

This route will be served by a Boeing 767-300 aircraft. The Boeing-767 is configured with United’s new premium product and has 6 United First® seats, 26 United Business® seats and 151 United Economy® class seats, including 63 Economy Plus® seats. This aircraft type will undergo United’s multi-million-dollar product enhancement that brings to United First and United Business flat-bed seats, on-demand entertainment and other spruced-up amenities that create the optimal space to work, sleep or relax while travelling.*
