OREANDA-NEWS. On 04 March 2009 was announced, that Moscow’s first cinema equipped for physically challenged people was opened in the southern administrative district of the city.

According to the local prefecture, the cinema has undergone a reconstruction and now it has a special access ramp with handrails and spacious lifts.

The cinema comprises four showing rooms, including two ones, each of which is designed to accommodate 24 people in wheel-chairs. The renewed building is also equipped with the panels enabling disabled people to get into a lobby, cloakroom, lift or WC without assistance.

Besides, one of the hotels located within southern Moscow is equipped for people in wheel-chairs. Milan Hotel on Shipilovskaya Street comprises the guest rooms featured wide doorways, low beds, bathrooms and WCs adapted for disabled people.
