OREANDA-NEWS. On 05 March 2009 was announced, that Transaero Airlines had discontinued fuel surcharges on airfare for flights to Israel, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine, creating additional benefits for passengers flying from Europe via Moscow to Israel or these CIS destinations.

The decision was occasioned by a reduction in jet fuel costs. Transaero has already dropped fuel surcharges on domestic flights and on flights to European destinations in November of last year as part of its fair price policy.

With the change in price, round trip airfare on Transaero flights to Israel will be reduced by ?44, to Kazakhstan – from 26* to as much as ?44*, to Uzbekistan — from ?76* up to ?86* and to Ukraine — by ?26.
